Bruce was born in Yellowknife, North West Territories, Canada. Bruce lived in a multitude of different towns and cities in Canada during his youth. He traveled the width and breadth of North America at a very young age being exposed to a huge diversity of people, places, environments and belief systems, allowing him to realize just what an amazing journey of learning one’s life can be.
He has been a professional commercial artist / illustrator for many years. His professional life has brought him in contact with most aspects of the creative commercial art world. Bruce’s true passion always leads him back to the fusion of visual art and it’s close association with the creative musical world. His currents paintings are 'realistic depictions' or better phrased 'the believable depiction of fantasy, historical and science fiction based art' and the musical impression of these themes is the true essence of Bruce’s art & musical endeavors. This website is a small window onto the creative works of Bruce Duncan both visually and musically.
His Visual work shown on this site will primarily be visual works that fall into the painted, rendering / illustration categories and some will be available for purchase in the form of limited edition signed prints (see attached link). Bruce is planning on releasing his first CD of original music called ‘Ghosts of Ancestors Past’ under the project 'Northerner' name, MP3 samples will be also available soon on this website.
